I am sure that there is a simple answer for this but I cannot find it. I remember that there was “reply” and “edit” buttons on the bottom of forum posts at one time. Now they are moved to the top of each post and the edit button will only open up a page not found link. Not sure what to do.

I have – changed different themes, deactivated all plugins, logged in as a regular user, increased the edit time to 99999. I am really frustrated here. What am I missing?

I think I might have an idea what happened. I changed some permalinks after installing Yoast. Maybe my edit is trying to open a page that doesn’t exist anymore because the permalink was changed? Question is, how do I undo the permalinks that I shortened?

Yep – figured it out. It was the permalink settings. Settings > permalinks > plain > refresh.
