Hey guys,

We recently upgraded our outdated 2.0.3 to 2.5.3 and after that we seem to have this particular problem where topics and replies randomly get marked as pending. I have disabled akismet integration but it still didn’t fix the issue.

Any ideas what I can do further or where I can start debugging? Since it happens randomly, it extremely difficult to debug.

Did you ever work out why this is happening. Have the same issue – 3 times now a Participant creates a Topic – then tried to reply and cannot see the reply – no notice that it has gone to moderation – nothing – so they try again and again.

From that point on every new topic or reply for that user goes to moderation. Have checked the user account, meta data, it is no different to any other user, status is the same.

Have checked the forums and see a number of other topics raised about this issue – but never an answer.

Are you still having the issue and is your issue as I have described?

Make sure your users are triggering any ‘bad words’ in WordPress comment moderation.
