    try

dashboard>settings>permalinks and just click save – this resets the permalinks

Hi Robin, I’ve actually done that numerous times due to updates in Yoast SEO. Most recently, a couple days ago and it does not solve the issue.

it could be a theme or plugin issue

    Themes

As a test switch to a default theme such as twentytwenty, and see if this fixes.

    Plugins

If that doesn’t work, also deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

If you cannot do this to your site (say because it is live) then use the ‘troubleshooting’ features of this plugin to let you test without affecting other users

    Then come back

Hi Robin, I’m replying to this old thread to report that the pagination issue has not been fixed in version 2.6.14. This ticket, which was marked as complete for version 2.6.14, highlights the pagination issue in comment 17: https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3576#comment:17

Is there a way you can relay this info to @johnjamesjacoby?

    Hi @hardel 👋

I’ll take another look at this.

Is it possible you may have a work-around activated as a plugin that might be interfering, now that bbPress 2.6.14 includes its own fix?

Hi guys, I submitted a response, but it looks like it got caught in the spam folder.

    apologies, now unspammed !

    Hi John,

I appreciate you chiming in. I don’t believe I have anything set in place that would cause interference. I do have an update to share with you. The URLs being generated are different from what I originally posted four years ago. Here’s what I’m seeing now:

    TOPICS STARTED

✅ Correct (what should be shown): https://rockclass101.com/members/The_Bumble_Bard/forums/?paged=2

    ❌ Incorrect (what’s currently being generated): https://rockclass101.com/members/The_Bumble_Bard/page/2/

    REPLIES CREATED

✅ Correct (what should be shown): https://rockclass101.com/members/The_Bumble_Bard/forums/replies/?paged=2

    ❌ Incorrect (what’s currently being generated): https://rockclass101.com/members/The_Bumble_Bard/page/2/

    SUBSCRIPTIONS

The same issue applies for subscriptions, but as you know, these URLs are user-specific and require being logged in as that user to view.

✅ Correct (what should be shown): https://rockclass101.com/members/USERNAME/forums/subscriptions/?paged=2

    ❌ Incorrect (what’s currently being generated): https://rockclass101.com/members/USERNAME/forums/subscriptions/page/2/

@hardel The fixes that were recommended in the ticket you linked to are pretty-much identical to what is now in 2.6.14.

If that worked for you then, 2.6.14 should work now, but only as long as you aren’t still running the old temporary fix code at the same time.

(I’ve tested a few different ways & installs, and the latest BuddyPress & bbPress are working together as intended for me.)

The URLs being generated are different from what I originally posted four years ago.

They both still look the same to my eyes, but I will believe you 🤣

Hi John, I never applied the fix recommended in that ticket. I am aware of another site experiencing the same issue as mine. “View Page Source” confirms they’re running BBPress 2.6.14 alongside BuddyPress 14.3.4. Because of this, I don’t believe this issue is exclusive to my site.

As it’s not my site, I don’t feel comfortable sharing the link publicly. However, I’ve sent a PM to your Instagram account with the link, along with a screen recording showing the 404 error, since their site requires a (free) membership to view forum replies.
