    Hello BBPress Team,

WP version 3.9.1 BBP Version 2.5.3

On our website http://www.starroyaltyent.com/forum-index/ we have over 100 spam bots that come and register because don’t have a reCAPTCHA on the forum registration.

I am trying to figure out how to install the reCAPTCHA on the bbp forum when users register:

Any answer here would be greatly appreciated. Losing my mind with all these bots.

    Thank you for your time.

ps. The theme is Avada Theme and I have reCAPTCHA set up on the Appointment page (which I did very simply in the theme options) here: http://www.starroyaltyent.com/appointment/

I’d suggest using a plugin rather than reCaptcha directly

There are a few various anti-spam, anti-bot, captcha type plugins available that work with bbPress in WordPress plugin repo https://wordpress.org/plugins/

    e.g. https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress-recaptcha/

Thanks I downloaded the plugin, but there is no widget to put it on the page.

I emailed the plugin author as well.

How do you guys stop SPAM Bots from registering at your BBPress Forum?

Oh, my bad, the plugin description is “This is a simple plugin that adds a recaptcha validation to the bbPress 2.0 topic creation and topic reply forum.” so it is not actually a recaptcha for the login page 😉

bbpress.org is hooked into wordpress.org so spam bots are handled by the WordPress team 😉

Have another look through the WordPress plugins for one that does what you require, there are a quite a few of them.
