I’ve setup a wordpress and bbpress blog/forum.

In wordpress I have added a plugin to display the user login/registration screen by default. So unless you login you can’t access the blog.

Logins will only be created manually by me.

I want the same for the forum but can’t find a plugin.

Please assist.

I use Hidden Forums:

I just make everything forum hidden, and everything works fine. I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for though.

I’ve used the plug in and it works great at hiding the forums.

One issue I have though is that I can’t figure you how to configure it so that all members can view the forums. As an admin or key master I can see all forums, but members can only post a comment. They don’t see any forums.

Any advice?

Swirl Unknowns, a plugin of mine, does the job too. I will release version 1.0 next week, probably on thursday or friday: it will feature a renewed configuration page and a bunch of other updates.

does anyone know if any of these plugins can be used with current version of bbpress? I don’t see a myplugins folder and tried to create one-uploaded the files and see nothing in my plugins section.
