Is it possible to make a forum admin-posts only for, for example, system announcements for a website?

There are certain plugins like the group forum plugin and the hidden forums plugin that enable this functionality.

This lets you mark a forum as admin only:

Announcements would be READ ONLY forums, not Hidden Forums.

You can also just post a topic and close it so regular users can’t reply.
