Please use example.com when masking your domain name

    @chrishajer

    example.com is a domain name specifically reserved by the IANA for things like documentation and examples.

    http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2606.txt

    I’ve seen people use things like blahblahblah.com, your-domain-name.com, xyz.com, domain.com and mysite.com and others in their posts. Those domains exist. Please use example.com when you want to hide your domain name.

    p.s. I was guilty of this too, but I’ve seen the light and will only use example.com from now on.

    Thanks for reading.
