Ok so I am new to BBPress. I was looking for a quick and easy solution for forums.

So far so good. Then I updated my permalinks structure in WordPress to be “post-name”

Now all the forum links come up as 404s.

Perhaps I am just having a dumb day but I have read the similar problems and cannot make head or tail of them.

I want my blog in general to use the post name permalink structure, as I like it for SEO purposes. I really could not care less for the Forum. I just want it to work.

What am I missing?

Hmm, that’s weird. What version of WP/bbPress are you running?

bbPress should work no matter what permalink structure you have WordPress set to use.

I think you have other things that are broken. Your images are broken, and none of your permalinks work at all, not even for your blog.

That is a separate issue I believe (I may be wrong). I just moved the content from another server.

The BBPress install is brand new.

You’re wrong. They are most certainly related. Most likely that your install thinks it lives in a different directory, .htaccess rules, rewrite rules, or something similar.
