i like this small board software

and “Open Source, always and forever” sound realy good to me but what sort of license is used?

GPL? LGPL? MIT? BSD? PublicDomain?

i think this is a very important informationen for many users but i cant find anything

It’s GPL, but there is no indication of that anywhere here officially. There is a ticket to address this issue. https://trac.bbpress.org/ticket/642
