I am using wp v 3.5 and I am developing a web site for a non-profit organization.
I would like to add functionality for members to ‘register’ with the site and upload images.
Is this the plugin I should be using or is there a better way to do this?

BBpress is to create a forum, but is that what you want? Perhaps it is better to ask your question on the WP forums.
