New and needing help.

new to this plugin.. .so far so good!! Great actually!! but I’m having trouble
1) understanding how to get the bbPress sidebar to show on my page without it showing on all the pages.2) I tried setting up a bbpress.php page but I’m seeing where to choose that… the dropdown for the templates isn’t showing it. I renamed one of the existing templates to bbpress.php …but it’s not available to choose.
Not sure a link to the site would help since I have it set to maintenance mode…

ps…theme is Mantra, latest versions of both WP and bbpress
