Moving and Deleting Nested Replies

I need some coding help.
Moving and deleting replies with nested replies, leaves the nested replies ‘orphaned’ in the original topic.
What I need is when moving a reply to another topic the complete reply tree to that reply is moved as well.
Similarly, when a reply is deleted the reply tree for that reply should be deleted as well.
