Is there any way to move a reply between topics?

We have a situation where some participants have replied to one topic but their reply is more suited to a different topic so would like to move them.

yes.

First you’ll need to know the topic number of the topic you want to move it to :

this is normally on the top right of the topic when displaying or

Dashboard>topics>all topics and hover over edit of the topic, and you’ll see the url of the topic in the bottom left of your screen, with the post number

then

Dashboard>replies>all replies and go into edit for the reply you wish to move

On the right hand side you’ll see the topic number, change this to the desired topic number

This would be managed very elegant with autosugest/autocomplete search and select field in backend.
As ACF select field, or post objects field do it. I mean those 2 input fields in metabox for “Topic” and “Reply to” (user ?). Server limit is problem for classic select, but also huge view too. So search field with autocomplete would be prefect. It would i believe remove for long time all feature requests from users, to make it more manageable.
