Hi everybody!

My users have a problem, they receive messy emails when somebody paste text from external program to forums. They receive html-format descriptions in their mails.

Sample:
<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>***</span></p>
<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>1)</span></p>
<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>Opel Astra: User manual 2020</span></p>

Any idea how to remove format or allowing send format in a way that users could read the mails as they should.

I presume users are receiving emails as html/rich text rather than plain text ?

It seems that making copy-paste from Libre Office to Bbpress editor brings the format data with the text.

I tested and the result in the editor is:

<b>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt</b>

I wonder, why the editor can not handle the format data in the paste text.

But if you do the text formatting in the editor with the text you are typing, then there is no problem.

so this shows ok in the actual bbpress topic/reply – yes ?

but is wrong in the (presumably) ‘subscription’ email that is sent – yes ?

Yes and yes.
I had no idea the problem source is the editor. According to the user reports, it was email.

are you using the text editor in bbpress, or have you got a visual editor running ?

Yes, I had visual editor but now changed back to text editor.
No more hassle with formatting.
