Hello! I’m using the Login Widget in my sidebar here:
http://brandschool.brandtwist.com/login/

And whenever I click “Login” it takes me back to the homepage.
Ideally it would:

1. Leave me on the existing page.
or
2. Take me to a particular page that’s not the homepage.

I’m using WordPress 3.4.2 and BBPress 2.2.4.

The widget is designed to redirect back to the referring page. Does it always go back to the home page, or does it go back to the previous page if you go to the login page from a page other than the home page?

It always goes to the homepage, unfortunately.

I posted another topic that whenever a comment is added to a topic, it redirects you to the original question page (instead of just leaving where you are). Could these two be related?

Could you update to bbPress v2.3 and see if the issue goes away?

I’ve done some custom edits so I’m not sure updating is a good idea. Could I just update the file that controls the widget? What would it be called?

Mostly to the names of things like changing “Forum” at the top to “Community.”

Are you able to make a backup of your modifications and then test a fresh install just to ensure it’s not something with your modified version?
