Hi,

Unfortunately a programmer erronously changed the permissions in the database for users to access forums while chasing down an issue of forum components not displaying…

Despite setting the database values back now no keymaster can actually create forums!

I’ve tried removing buddypress and reinstalling, but no luck.
I’ve tried refreshing cookies and clearing caches.
I’ve tried creating fresh keymaster user accounts, no luck.

HELP! I’m going mental.

We’re running bbPress 2.3.2
buddypress 1.7.2
wordpress 3.5.2

further to that…

I used the forum reset tool to try to nuke and got this:
Deleting Conversion Table… Failed

Is there a way to do it manually?

I now have no forums, and no way of creating them!

Try running the tool to repair user roles and capabilities permissions. It should be the last tool in the list, located in Tools > Forums.

I did that. That’s what the second message describes..
it gave me the Deleting Conversion Table… Failed error.

still cannot access.

and since then i’ve also deleted the plugin, used a database cleaning plugin to remove all relics of deleted plugins from the database, and reinstalled.

still happening.
