I copied the .mo file over to wp-includes/languages and set BBLANG to “fr” but the forum interface is still in English. Did I miss something?

Since the file’s name is fr_FR.mo, you have to set BBLANG to fr_FR

Also, it would help if your bbPress version was a fairly recent one (≥ 561). You can get a “561” folder at http://sostomates.fr/projets/bbpress/bbpress.zip

The french website with the french translation files has closed, is there anybody with the files ? I’ve installed BBPress and now the only thing missing is the translation :o(.
