Hi,

I installed bbpress, had to do it twice since the first time failed. The second time is installed without errors, however, if I go to the link it emailed me http://domain.com/forums/ I get a 404 error. Do I need to edit a .htaccess file or something? I’m using permalinks if that makes a difference.

Turns out you need to properly name your bbpress directory identical to the desires url path…

ie: if you http://example.com/forums you have to upload the bbpress press directory to /ftp/path/root/forums/

This needs to be better explained.

So you changed the URL that the installer suggested?
