    Hello

    I juste have installed my BBPress forum on my web site. I run a web site with buddypress.

    When I want to identify a user with @, the list of the BP users does not appear.

    Can someone help me ?

    Thanks.

    Fabien

    If you have buddypress, it’s a buddypress feature, so probably their support forum first

    @carasse64, I use bbPress with BuddyPress too and I have never seen @name “completion” on my site. I don’t think it’s actually a feature of BuddyPress (or the bbPress/Buddypress combination), although I’ve seen it on some other types of forums. So I would not expect to see that list. Of course I could be wrong.

    Thank you @mike80222. I have read an old topic on this forum where someone had created with feature with lines of code. I have to find it again šŸ™‚

    Just looked and I created a small plugin here http://www.rewweb.co.uk/download/bbp-mentions-suggest/

    this says that it ‘Adds the Buddypress mentions suggest as you type to bbpress topics and replies’

    so I got the idea from somewhere that it was a bp feature.

    It was sometime ago that I wrote/copied this, so have no memory of whether it still works !

    @robin-w, @carasse64:
    I tried it on a test site just now. I didn’t do any extensive testing, but does appear to work!
    Pretty cool.

    I wish I could claim some credit – it was some code I found somewhere !

    From looking at the code, I’m presuming that bp has that functionality somewhere else – this just seems to add it for topics/replies.

    @robin-w

    no it adds the buddypress feature to bbpress

    @deepblue5

    Participant

    ok i see
    this feature would be interesting for bbpress alone

    @robin-w
