Why am I getting this message?

When new users try to register they get a message telling them that ‘user registration is currently not allowed’

the URL in the browser is
http://www.unethicalbastards.com/wp-login.php?registration=disabled

It looks like WordPress Registrations are not enabled for your site.

You can check if WP is allowing registrations here /wp-admin/options-general.php

(Or a registration plugin is doing weird things)
