How to setup like a course

Hello,
I would like to ask for an advice how should I setup the following:
Say I have 3 Study Programs and under these programs I have lectures.
When user clicks a lecture (ex. Lesson 1),
I want to have a layout like this

Do I have to use tags?
Will Programs be “Category” and Lectures as “Forum”?How can I display the topics in the Lecture and General discussion?
Sorry in advance if this is pretty basic but I did read the startup guide and still left me confused. (>.<)
