how to display /forum in root

Hi. Perhaps I’m having a mental block, but I’m unable to figure this out…

I have bbpress installed at forum.mysite.com/forum

I want the forum to be displayed when when people navigate simply to forum.mysite.com

wordpress has a way of retrieving the forum outside the root, and then setting the URL.

what do i have to put in my /index.php file to make this happen for bbpress?

    Thanks,

    Paris

There is an administration panel, in there there is settings. Go to General Setting and set the bbPress address (URL) to the domain you want it to appear on.

thanks very much but this doesn’t work for me. it ruins the installation and i have to manually revert via phpmyadmin.

this asks for where the bbpress installation is (forum.mysite.com/forum) …

i want forum.mysite.com/forum to be fetched from forum.mysite.com

    does that make it clearer?

    thanks,

    paris
