How can I make user to be able to reply to topics but not create new topics.

    Hi there

    Seems quite straight forward in my head but can’t seem to put it down on the system!

    I would like my users to be able to post replies to forum topics that I (as keymaster) create. But I would not like the users to be able to create forum topics themselves.

    Is this possible?

    I have tried closing the forum with the topics inside, but this also closes off the option for users to reply.

    Any help would be much appreciate.

    Kind Regards

    Hey my friend, I found this other plug in by bbpress for that goal

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress-protected-forums/

    But I have to say that is giving me problems with the provision of some elements of my site. My main menu now appears on the bottom of the page 😮

    Cheers.

    I use a fairly easy.
    I think the issues but did not give a parent forum.
    The call with shortcodes and thread id.

    Also add this in the theme functions, which deletes the search path, so that it is more beautiful

    function mycustom_breadcrumb_options() {
    // Home – default = true
    $args[‘include_home’] = false;
    // Forum root – default = true
    $args[‘include_root’] = false;
    // Current – default = true
    $args[‘include_current’] = true;

    return $args;
    }

    add_filter(‘bbp_before_get_breadcrumb_parse_args’, ‘mycustom_breadcrumb_options’ );
