Is it possible to configure bbPress to allow people to post a message as a guest, without registering a new username and logging in?

It would be really nice to have this capability; requiring registration dissuades a lot of people from contributing.

Nothing so far or planned in development to my understanding. Heard rumors of a plugin, but nothing substantiated so far.
