I changed an user to be a Spectator but he still can post in the forum, how can I make him only to be able to read not post/reply anything?

that’s what spectator should do.

Suggest you set up a test user and check that that works.

I had a plugin to control permissions… so probably it was overwriting its permissions… I had to create through this plugin and now it’s working well. Thank you!
