I’m trying to create a forum. I followed the directions on the bbpress codex site. I added the bbpress plugin to my WordPress site, then made a Forum and a Topic, then created a Page called “forums”. I double-checked that it was set to “postname”, and everything was formatted as the directions said to do.

But when I navigate to that Page, it’s blank and empty. I even tried going to the full URL of the specific forum itself, at /forums/forum/forumname, and it’s still blank.

So, I tried Method 2 listed on that page. I made a new Page, and added the shortcode to it. The Page will show, but the box with the shortcode is blank and empty.

This can be closed; after installing a theme that was called “default” that exploded WP and forced me to use FTP to deactivate it because the whole WP Admin page was broke too, I finally managed to get a theme that worked.
