Does the 2.3 beta fix this for you?

What plugins besides BuddyPress are you running? Is one of them conflicting?

Hi, thank you for your reply.

I have running a few plugins but none of them seem to make any conflicts..

However i found the plugin which caused the issue. s2Member Framework.
When i deactivate it the forum behaves good again. Since i currently don’t need s2Member i have no problem removing it.

Still i wanted to include it in the future so it still might be a issue i will have to solve. I am going to try the beta later in the night.

Happy you figured it out. s2Member and other capability manipulating plugins have a tendency to conflict with bbPress and the way it handles roles and capabilities. I think some fixes went into s2Member to improve this, but it’s possible there’s still more issues to work out.

I have tracked it down to the ‘Alternate View Protection’ probably i should have listened to the ‘experimental’ in the header, but the description sounded good.

For possible future readers, if you have this issue go to
s2Member -> Restriction Options -> Alternative View Protection
    and UNCHECK all options..
(Maybe not necessary to uncheck all of them)
