Hi All,

Iam totally new to bbpress and i tried the search functionality and when i click search it brings me to Archives and the formatting is totally off and below is what I see. Is that how the search results looks like in ALL TEXT? I have replaced the IP and email address with X.

ok, I’ve found the issue, and I’m talking to elementor about it.

At the moment to fix you need to

1. create a child theme if you haven’t already got one
2. change a line in a file

so do you have a child theme and/or do you know how to do FTP?

Let me know and we’ll go from there

Yes I can download the child theme and add new and activate that.
Not sure how to do a FTP – would i need to?

ok so let’s try the standard fault finding

it could be a theme or plugin issue

Plugins

deactivate all plugins apart from bbpress and my fix plugin and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

If you cannot do this to your site (say because it is live) then use the ‘troubleshooting’ features of this plugin to let you test without affecting other users

ok, for clarity can you confirm that the problem you have is the error in search functionality listed at the top of this thread?

yes!
The page looks with as if one result that probably contains all the HTML (escape of course) of the search.

not sure that will help – as I stated in the fix, this is neither bbpress or elementor problem – just 2
plugins that try and help wordpress but don’t totally work together.
