Hello,

I got a 404 error when I type more than one word in the search.
I think the error comes with the “+” symbol between each word. If I replace the “+” by %20, it works…

It could be a theme or plugin issue

Plugins

Deactivate all but bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

Themes

If plugins don’t pinpoint the problem, as a test switch to a default theme such as twentyfifteen, and see if this fixes.

Then come back

dashboard>settings>permalinks and just click save, this resets the permalinks

My site’s forums are for logged in users only. Registration is done from outside.

Actually if you are getting the same as the first poster, which still does the error, then having link won’t help.

I’ve just tested on my test site and all ok, so if you have disabled all the plugins, have you switched theme?

I just added a public forum. try it yourself by typing 2 words in the forum search box.
