Displaying Post Timestamps to Users in Their Local Timezone

    @moxjet200

    Currently, my site is set to UTC-6, my local timezone and all of the posts made on my forum show accordingly. However, if a user in another time zone posts on the forums it shows the timestamp in UTC-6 which is very disorienting. Is there a way to display timestamps in local time rather than a static timezone?

  • @moxjet200,

    I don’t think there is an immediate option for that, but I normally display the fressness, so it will say ‘5 minutes ago’ and ‘1 hour ago’. It’s a different view on your issue 🙂

    So there is no way to fix this?

    Has anyone had any success? Surely this isnt hard as everyone’s device knows the local time and offset to GMT?
    Looking for an answer for this for a global (but very small) forum.
