oops! i think this had too many links when i originally tried to post it. let me try again.

i would like to know if it’s possible to customize the appearance of the root bbpress page. i want to show the forums in different thematically grouped sets. thanks to a brilliant solution i’ll link to in a reply, i’ve been able to make a page that looks the way i want it to:

but when i use the same exact shortcodes on the forums root page, it lists all of the forums in each of the blocks:

anyone have a solution?

if not, does anyone know if it’s possible to hack the breadcrumb so that the link to the “root” page actually points to the not-root page that displays correctly?
