Hi.

Is there a way to modify or supercede the bb-post.php error page? It looks jarring with the rest of my theme (http://agitainment.com/ics/forum) as is, and when I tried modifying it I get a half-broken page with errors.

I looked for this issue in the Forums but can’t find an answer, so if there’s a thread already addressing it, please direct me that way.

Sounds like when you modified it, you took out some important stuff. Post your modified files.

I think they mean the horrible bb_die page?

I’ve complained about that to Sam and Mike for over a year now, good luck getting them to change it.

It should be hookable with an action so it doesn’t crash you into an un-themed page.

Yes, I think this is what it is.

I’ve run into it on every theme I’ve tried, including the default. It always shows the same forrest-green box with the bbPress logo and an error message like “You need to actually submit some content!” It’s really jarring when coming out of my theme, which has a kind of handmade-look (http://agitainment.com/ics/forum).

So, is there no hope for me to be able to restyle this myself?

I had no idea it would be so hard to modify. I never really thought about it.

Ah this had been in the v 1.0 Milestone for the past month… but yesterday it was moved to 1.5:

So I’m guessing we won’t see it for a long while… since it was first suggested for v .8 in mid 2007, and it was bumped to .9 and then 1.0.
