WP 3.4.2 || Multisite || Buddypress 1.6.1 || bbPress 2.1.3

What happens is that after every new user activation the permalinks of bbPess forums & topics no longer work. The paths are correct, but they generate 404’s. This concerns only the bbPress permalinks. Simple WP pages and even Buddypress profile pages work fine.

After manual update of permalink structure the bbPress permalinks will work again.

When i compare the rewrite rules in de wp_2_options before and after a new user activation, I see that the rewrite rules in broken state do miss quite some lines related to bbPress permalinks.

My current working theory is that with a new user activation the rewrite rules are flushed/rebuild, but that the process is incomplete … it misses information from bbPress.

When i update permalink structure manually, rewrite rules are flushed/rebuild as they should, including the rules for bbPress.

Is this problem familiar for anyone of you? Got an idea? Help would be greatly appreciated.

First I’ve heard of this. Neither BuddyPress nor bbPress purposely flush the permalinks when a user is created.

Any more information you’re able to drum up would be helpful.
