Blank forum page on 2024 theme

    Hi!
I have just installed bbPress, configured the settings, and created some categories/forums, but when I go to the link where the forum should have been, I only see a blank page.

I have tested with the shortcode, and added that to a blank page. That works, but links to posts and categories open up as blank pages

This is one of the new FSE themes, so you need a fix to work with bbpress.
    install

    bbp style pack

    once activated, navigate to

dashboard>settings>bbp style pack, and you should see the first tab called ‘Theme Support’ – if you don’t see this, come back.

    In that tab, select

    Enable Theme Support

    and save

    The forums should then display

    Thanks Robin!
    That worked well!

Is there a way to have bbp style pack copy as many settings from the theme as possible? Especially typography, button styles, colors etc?

Seems like an impossible task to try to match all this manually, let alone keep it up to date whenever I make a change. Especially here in the beginning of the community

no sorry, theme writers each do it differently, so there are probably hundreds of thousands of combinations.

No worries – I think that I found some options that I can work with.
I managed to actually set the style for buttons based on the theme!
I noticed a few things though that seem broken:

I was able to style the “create new topic”, “Subscribe” buttons etc, through the bbp style pack, but not the buttons for log in, submit etc.

Also this seems broken. I used the predefined theme patterns

I’ve set it to php 8,0 but can very easilly set it to one of these

fie with the php you have, just wanted to check that it was a ‘current’ version.

I’ll look at this later today.

    Hey Robin
Don’t stress it for my sake alone – I am still just checking my options and not locked into anything at the moment yet
