When upgrading php version on domain to 7.2, bbpress stopped working.

I made contact with domain company, and they say bbpress have’nt been updated in 3 years, and gave me this info from my site:

wp-content/plugins/bbpress/bbpress.php:

* $Id: bbpress.php 5951 2015-10-28 04:07:50Z netweb $

checked version on site, and it says Versjon 2.6-alpha??

you should have version 2.5.14 which is the latest authorised release.

what happen if i uninstall 2.6 and then install 2.5.14? Will all forum disappear? Or will they be back when i install?

you have two options

1. delete everything and start again
dashboard>tools>forums>reset forums

2. just deactivate and delete 2.6 and install 2.5.14 – that should work, but I’m not sure whether 2.6 has anything funny in changes to the database
