BBPress registration email confusing

Forum set up for each sport.When a viewer wants to subscribe to a forum topic they register at the forum (Username and email).
An email is generated (from WordPress) that is causing confusion.
the email sender shows as WordPress and the link in the email is to:
http://adventuresportnq.info/wordpress/wp-login.php
1/ How do I alter the ‘from’ so it appears to come from the forum rather than WordPress?
2/ how do I alter the link (above) so that the user doesn’t have to negotiate through unknown territory? Why not offer a link to the forum rather than WordPress?
The forum has been up for 3 months and the only posters are the 2 owners. It’s just too difficult for the average user to get to the forum.
