[bbpress-plugin] Install / Config Help

Hi,
these might be basic questions.. sorry about that.
So I installed the bbpress 2 plug-in and I am able to create forum and topics, but how can I enable people to logon to the forum and create new entries ?
how can I manage what users are allowed to do ?
is there an admin area ?
