So we’ve been having this issue for the last few months where the “Recently Active Topics” includes anonymous posts which cannot be accessed by normal users or methods because they have been automatically deleted as spam:

How do we get the site not to include these spam posts as “recently active”?

Akismet has pulled it as spam, but it still makes it show up in the “view” of topics freshness or posted in the last X days

I apologize as I didn’t set up the site to know the correct answer. I’ve been told by MillaN that this “freshness” is core to bbpress.

I just know the page as a url that I’ve placed in the custom html section.

This is done with the Akismet addon in bbPress, and that addon has no filters to control it, so the only fix would be changing bbPress directly. This process calls normal bbPress functions that trigger updates to freshness, so it would be very hard to change with even direct modifications to bbPress because other parts depend on it.”
