Hi,
I have upgraded a website to wordpress 4.0.1 and bbpress to version 2.5.4 and after that topics have disappeared. If I click on each forum appear two messages:
This forum contains 7 topics and 102 replies
but no topics are shown and after this message there is this other message:
Oh bother! No topics were found here!

We have tried to change the template and to deactivate the plugins but there are no conflicts and the issue still exist.

finally I solved in this way:

I’ve installed Members plugin by Justin Tadlock. Then I set:

• read_course
• read_private_courses
• read_private_posts
• read
• read_hidden_forums
• read_private_forums
• read_private_replies
• read_assignment
• read_private_assignments
• read_private_pages
• read_private_topics

as “Subscribers” Capabilities.

is there a fix for this as my forums

are showing there are new topics, however when you click into the forums then are not showing!

Hello Lorenzo,

I’m experiencing the same problem, after i upgraded to WP 4.0.1 topics and replies not showing up, i installed Members Plugin and set the roles as you said but no effect.
