This is an authentic Tokaido gi from Tokaido Japan. This gi is made from special cotton grown by Tokaido Japan. It is the only canvas material allowed to be called "Ultimate Canvas" for it's strength and durability. But it is also quite comfortable, and has earned a following amongst Japan's most famous contemporary masters. As their students have relocated to become instructors and masters around the world, the demand for these uniforms has grown considerably - but so have imitations.
