In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4
O no Stephen. For Kunena converting i used this script from this topic here. Worked OK. Just saying if someone hits the wall and cannot wait anymore, to test this commercial plugin.
As it is Joomla to WP converting this plugin is more then usefull for plenty of other things, not just forum.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4You people if you dont mind paying little over 50 € you can try this converter:
I would not advertise commercial plugin here if i not tested theirs K2 to WordPress converter. It is simply brilliant. Imported absolte everything, custom fields, attachments, dates, page views, and aranged whole WordPress so that i didnt have any work to do with organizing content.
In reply to: Still no visual editor?Unbelievable, plugin “Crayon Syntax Highlighter Settings ” activated Tinymce in Bbpress with its option “Display the Tag Editor in any TinyMCE instances on the frontend (e.g. bbPress)”.
Problem is i dont want to use this plugin and use functions.php to decide what buttons are visible.
In reply to: Still no visual editor?If it works for others i must be making some mistake. Tried with default theme same problem. It is some test development with many, many WP and Bbpress plugins. Could be that some of them is blocking.
In reply to: Still no visual editor?This from codex is simply not working. Tried with several different modifications. Functions.php code for WP comments form works without problems with functions.php code.
I would use plugins for this, but dont want to give forum users all buttons Admin sees and use too.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4Small update. It is working now, Kunena forum is imported and all is working.
Problem was in Ampps. Installed new Wamp, imported Kunena forum, exported forum, imported again in Ampps and all is OK now.Had “small” problem importing users, dont know why. Found at Google that i need to uninstall and delete Buddy Press then install it again after import.
You see, that one was piece of cake to fix whem you have error in converter. My first problem was pain in the ass when it is black hole, no error, nothing, just spinning and so can it continue for 3 years.
Plus it is enigma how it can import 80-90% of topics and replies then stop.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4Now it is the same with SMF converter. I know it is not something for this topic, but do i have so bad luck. I have feelings that those converter scripts are not tested at all.
Converting replies (8100 – 8199)
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4MySQL error log doesnt give anything special. All errors i see are the same for other databases, generic types.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4Kunena3.php. Tried long time ago with Kunena2 too, but didnt work.
Updated Kunena forum to the last, just to test. WP is updated to the last.Joomla is made locally with Akeeba but dont think it has something to do with problem.
If i only knew what makes problem. One or few Kunena topics deleted. Not big deal in forums, if you have hundreds and thousands of them. But as it is now all is black hole for me.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4No, absolutely same problem. Stuck at the same place.
Plus error with that hard coded jos_ in PHP, but that one is easy to fix. I type my own database prefix.In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4@ Stephen, thanks.
My apologies i didnt answer earlier. Had many projects and not much time. Customizing bbPress is something i try to learn for future projects, and one project it is not hurry for.I will test converting today and write results.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4OK, one hour passed. I started with “Purge Previous Import” disabled and it doesnt work.
Stop => Start doesnt work.
Wish someone could test it locally.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4No, it doesnt do anything, just spinning. Maybe it needs to be start from beginning next time without “Purge Previous Import” checked. Seems as it try now to do all from very scratch.
But then it is risk of database corruption and duplicates. Dont want to be rude, but make plugin little bit verbose, put some info around, dont be leasy. 🙂
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4“Starting Conversion” and spinning and spinning. I will wait 10-15 minutes.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4Thank you, i am just trying that, and report comes.
Some other thing, converter stops with error because you have hard coded database prefix at line 365:
'join_expression' => 'ON kunena_messages_text.mesid = kunena_messages.id LEFT JOIN jos_kunena_topics AS kunena_topics ON kunena_messages.thread = kunena_topics.id WHERE kunena_messages.parent != 0',
That “jos_” i need to change to my Joomla prefix and all is OK.
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4Maybe some detailed clarification. It is about replies of some topic.
Converting replies (10100 - 10199)
In reply to: Kunena converter for bbPress 2.4Kunena converter (both 2.0 and 3.0) stuck at some specific Kunena topic it is importing.
Please add a function to bypass topics it cannot import, and make script continue with healthy topics. This way only one topic is missing, as it is now all topics behind one that makes problems are missing.
I would try to repair (or delete) that Joomla Kunena topic, but number “10999” says me absolutely nothing.
