OK, in the end I did this:
– created a new ‘create new topic’ page following the instructions here:
– created a link in to the new page the wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/bbpress/content-archive-topic.php
To add: the topics page without the Create New Topics form is here: http://www.naijastories.com/topics/
Sorry, but I cannot find this Admin Area with any link that will let me move a topic.
This is the page I’m looking at:

I can see the following links near the top of the page:
Home Admin Forum Members (75) Send Invites Email Options
A few lines below that, I can see these links:
Edit Topic | Sticky Topic | Close Topic | Delete Topic
But none of these links enable me to move a topic from group to group.
Where else should I be looking?
