https://www.hetzner.de/In reply to: 404sYes, I would be happy to turn off another plugin.
If I turn it off right now, then the forum will work, but then I’ll have 404s in other important areas instead.The former admin unfortunately only has time in 6-7 weeks.
I think that the hoster can not help me, because he does not care about the software.In reply to: 404sI have no idea why this plugin was used back then, do you know a good alternative?
Thanks for staying with me Robin!In reply to: 404sI am so close to get this fixed :D…
Its the Plugin “Rewrite” and one of those rules must be the cause…
I habe no Idea what i should do next.
If I disable the plugin, there is almost nothing left on the website,
so it seems to be a very central plugin.http://s1.bild.me/bilder/110417/606684719-04-_2018_11-57-03.png
Thx alot for your input.
DanielIn reply to: 404sThx Robin, I am a step further, I was not aware that disable plugins and the “Troubleshoot Mode” are different tools and in the “Troubleshoot Mode” the plugins are not really disabled.
Thank you! Let’s see if I can find the plugin.In reply to: 404sHey folks,
I am losing my mind on this one…
Today I rechecked all settings and also tried the troubleshooting mode in WordPress,
to make sure that its no Plugin conflict.Scrolled through forums, websites, blogs several hours.
In reply to: 404sWhen i want to reset permalinks, do i habe to change it and save or just save it?
I am questioning because i found this.“I would try resetting your permalinks. In your WordPress Administration Screens navigate to Settings > Permalinks, select a different permalink structure and save. Then select your preferred permalink structure
and save again.”Is this part of the htaccess file …
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress… synonymous with the activated Apache mod_rewrite module?
Or do I still have to activate the module although this is configured in my htacces file?I have hope again that I find out what it is 🙂 I am looking forward to your answers.
All the best
DanielIn reply to: 404sNow I’ve reinstalled the forum, searched the database and the file server and still no indication why it remains at 404.
This works great…
http://www.ayurveda-portal.de/test-forumBut yes – that’s just the overview, as soon as I want in a forum or subforum, there is the 404er.
Like this…

It will be just a trifle, I hope I’ll find it soon. Do you have another idea?I’ve also checked the htaccess and could not find anything regarding *forum*…
All the best
DanielIn reply to: 404sI would be very happy about help on this topic, the “old” forum does not work if I enable SSL encryption for the page. And since SSL is standard, the concern is very important to me.
