Here’s an example, the user is creating a new account for my forum. I have a newsletter subscription and I want to add those users to my email list. I would like to add a check box to the new user registration page that says, “Join my weekly newsletter”.

Is there a plugin that does this? Any idea how difficult this could be?

ck – I am very happy with bbPress because it was painless to install, modify and develop around our brand. The only feature or plugin I wish was available was a way for users to easily follow forum topics via email. Something as easy as check this box to receive emails about this topic.

This happens if I’m in the admin section or logged into the site and editing a particular post.

I’m a newbie to the bbpress framework. Is there a function in bbpress that can call each forum and show the most recent topics for each one? Any help on how to getting started is appreciated. If you could provide some code to get started I feel confident to take it from there. I’m sure this layout isn’t for everyone but its a refreshing social-like layout that others may like.

There’s a great redirection plugin I use with wordpress to fix that issue. Maybe if this became a feature a plugin could be created to fix the old links indexed in the search engines.
