I have renamed the plugins folder and i dont even get the wordpress login screen, its just going to my site ans saying

I havent installed any security plugins.
I use the http://www.mysite.co.uk/wp-admin/ and it redirects to http://www.mysite.co.uk/wp-admin/PHP
Can i delete the buddypress and bbpress plugins using FTP?
