One more question.
I am supposed to find “SECRET_KEY” in the WordPress wp-config.php file, but it is not there. The only mention of “SECRET_KEY” I found in the following string: “https://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/ WordPress.org secret-key” which did not get me anywhere.
Thanks in advance for the help,
gm
Sounds like you’re integrate incompatible versions. What versions of bbPress and WordPress are you trying to install?
Regarding blog address and WordPress address, you can get those in your WordPress admin. They’re generally the same, but not always. It pays to check. It’s located here, but on your domain:

WP is 2.7.1 and bbPress is 0.9.0.4. Both are the latest versions.
>They’re generally the same …
They turned out to be the same in my case.
Thanks
>WP is 2.7.1 and bbPress is 0.9.0.4. Both are the latest versions.
partly – bbPress has the 1.0 alpha (unstable!). And you should integrate the 1.0 with wp 2.7
I think there is some plugin to integrate 0.9 with wp 2.7 but still… read some topics about the compatible versions in this forum.
In general:
WP < 2.7 & BBpress < 1.0: yes
WP >= 2.7 & BBpress < 1.0: no
WP < 2.7 & BBpress >=1.0: no
WP >= 2.7 & BBpress >= 1.0: yes
but remember: the 1.0 alpha is not recommended to use on live sites.
(sorry if my english isn`t correct, i hope you get what i want to say)
Since I don’t have much to loose – I just started with the blog and the forum – I went with alpha. Everything went smoothly and I have already made my first post.
All in all, I do like this bbPress thing. Not intimidating, intuitive, help is there when you need it.
