I have just installed but lost from here

    Looking at the installation docs on here, it keeps saying to sync with my database in the “WordPress Integration” section in the Settings, but when I go to settings, there is no such section. Only “Main Settings”, “Per Page”, “Per RSS Page”, “Archive Settings”, and “Single Settings”.

    I am pretty lost on all of this really. Definitely not trying to sound whiny, but it seems like it would be a pretty helpful and easy idea to have an up-to-date video tutorial on the site. Looking at YouTube they are sort of dated.

    Anywho, I would really appreciate some help on this if anybody is available.

    Did you install the plugin or the standalone version?

    In the plugin you need not worry about WP integration.

    Just go on and create your forums! You will see the options added as a separate group in the left menu…look for a bee icon :-)

    Ok .. I guess I just don’t understand exactly what is supposed to happen?

    I created a New Forum. And a New Topic. Where does the forum show up?

    I just don’t get what I am looking at?

    I figured it would be more of a list of forum topics that you can go in and read and reply to and what not.

    Hmm, I wonder if it has to do with Thesis hijacking the archive page (I’m not familiar with Thesis).

    Is there anyway you can temporarily change the theme to TwentyTen/Eleven and see if the problem is still occurring? That will let you at least rule out the theme being the cause.

    if it’s not too much to ask, can you give me a very brief description of how it is “supposed” to work. I don’t really see any examples anywhere and want to make sure it’s what I am looking for before I get into the dirty work of fixing it to work on this site.

    Look harder. Plenty of examples in the forums here and the codex.

    What your site looks like is not the intention. Your theme is not compatible with bbPress, since it’s doing something o override the WordPress template loader.
