Cant install "The plugin does not have a valid header." error

    Every time I try to install this I click “activate plugin” and I’m sent to a page that just says “The plugin does not have a valid header.” and wont let me install…. I downloading the plugin from this site and tried uploading the zip and the uncompressed in my plugin folder. Any ideas?

    bbPress isn’t a WordPress plugin. It’s a standalone software.

    bbPress has been a stand alone forum, albeit based on some core WordPress components. But is not a plugin for WordPress.

    Actually, I installed the bbPress plugin directly from the WP Admin add new plugin front end and I get invalid header as well.
