Just downloaded the bbpress-1.0.2.zip went through the install. Tried to activate it and received the error The plugin does not have a valid header.

WP 2.9.1

Any suggestions?

bbPress is not a plugin for WordPress, so it should not be in wp-content/plugins and needs to be installed all on it’s own. It’s a separate software package.
