Forum Icons and Support Status

I am trying to make a custom theme and display both the icons from the Forum Icons and Support Status plugins.
Every time I add <?php topic_icon(); ?> into my template’s theme the Support Status plugin’s icon disappears. Is there any way to manually imbed, re-enable, or otherwise stop the conflict in my template?
